Only a few more days left and still a lot of preparation ahead, mentally and spiritually. Each one of us has been designated to lead one or two Bible studies and/or a lifeskills group throughout the upcoming week. I know for me, I have never taught or lead a Bible study. So, for some of us, this will be the first time to really speak to others about the Good News. We all come from different spiritual journeys and I know a few of us are very new at this. This will be my first international mission trip and I know other's as well. Please be in prayer for us that we will not doubt our spiritual preparedness and whether we are worthy enough to teach others about Christ and who He is. Help us to stand firm and to know that we have been called for a specific purpose on this trip and not to doubt where God has brought us. Pray that we'll speak boldly about the good news and listen to the Holy Spirit as He guides our hearts, our words, and our actions. God has impressed on us, as a church, to love on these kids. He tells us throughout His word that this is one of His top most commandments. If we can remind ourselves of that fact, all the other details will fall right in to place. Thanks for being along with us in this journey. We couldn't do it without your prayers.
What an exciting trip! A new orphanage for our team to visit and we have no firm idea how many children will come. But God has put us on a great adventure to Chisnau and I know the whole team is looking forward to it.
We hope that each and every orphan and child joining us for the week of activities and fun will find time to bond with one of us. We pray that the translators are able to convey our thoughts and messages to the children in a clear and impassioned manner, so they know the depths of our caring.
So most of the packing is done and I think everyone is ready to set off for the airport. We leave Friday July 4th, and ask your prayers for safe travel. Thanks in advance for your support and keep checking back to the blog. There is much more to come including interesting facts about Moldova as well as the events of our trip.

5 Days Before
Just a week ago we learned that Cahul, due to orphanage construction, was not a possible sight to go. As a result, we set our sights on Straseni (pronounced strawshane) just outside of the capital of Chisinau.
We have never held camp there before, nor has anyone else for that matter. We have such an incredible opportunity to touch the lives and create relationships with these children!
We cannot wait!
Please be in prayer for these children that they may receive the Word of the Lord; pray that the team would be nothing so that God can be everything; pray for safe travel; and pray for our preparation in the final days!
